Student Grievance Redressal Cell

     The Students’ Grievance Cell aims to address and resolve grievances or complaints raised by students. Its primary purpose is to promote a fair, transparent, and supportive learning environment for all students. The cell serves as a platform for students to express their concerns and seek redressal for any issues they may face during their academic journey.
Objectives of the Students’ Grievance Cell typically include:
1. Supporting students who feel deprived of entitled college services or facing unfair treatment.
2. Ensuring college officials are accountable, responsive, and courteous in their interactions with students.
3. Providing effective and impartial solutions to students’ grievances.
Functions of the Students’ Grievance Cell often include:
1. Receiving and documenting grievances submitted by students.
2. Investigating the nature and details of the grievances in a confidential manner.
3. Mediating between students and departments or authorities to resolve the issues.
4. Taking prompt action to address the grievances and communicating the outcomes to the concerned students.
5. Ensuring procedural fairness and protecting the students’ right to be heard and treated without bias.
        The grievance procedure usually involves a formal process, where students are required to fill out a prescribed form outlining their grievance and submit it to the designated authority, such as the Vice-Principal or Co-ordinator or they can lodge grievance by submitting online form published on college website. The cell then proceeds to investigate and address the matter while maintaining the confidentiality of the parties involved.
     The Students’ Grievance Cell typically handles a wide range of issues, including academic matters, administrative concerns, discrimination complaints, and other relevant problems that may affect students’ overall learning experience. However, there may be certain exclusions, such as decisions made by academic committees, scholarship awards, disciplinary actions, admissions-related matters, and assessment results, which may fall under the purview of other college bodies or authorities.
     The Students’ Grievance Cell plays a crucial role in ensuring a supportive and conducive learning environment, where students can freely express their grievances and have their concerns resolved in a fair and just manner.
