Chemistry department has broad canvas of research activities competing basic as well as applied research and contributed significantly by publishing research papers. synthetic chemistry, Green Chemistry, Solvent Extraction, Coordination Chemistry and Nanotechnology are the areas of intense research in the department.
Presently eight Ph. D research student working under the guidance of Dr. R. V. Shejwal and Dr Avinash Nalawade.
The department has published about 22 research papers in national and international journals having high impact factor. The faculty and students of the department have presented papers in various conference, symposia and workshop.

Workshop :

Department has organized workshop to provide special coaching to P.G. Students appearing for NET and SET Examination.

Funding Received :

From the last five years the department has achieved significant goals in various fronts. It was really satisfying that department has received funds 4.5 lakhs for individual MRP projects from UGC New Delhi. Recently one faculty members have applied for MRP to UGC, New Delhi.
The department will endeavor to remain at forefront of basic science in important thrust areas by the vision, imagination, knowledge and sustained hard work will progress rapidly in academic, teaching and research activation planned for near future.
