Department at a Glance

Microbiology is the subject of interest in this new era. To build students who are experts in microbiology Department of Microbiology was established in 1984.B.Sc I started around 1984-85.B.ScIII class established in1991-92.Since then department has given very prominent microbiologists to the society. Sanctioned post of department are 03 currently 02 full time and 03 adhoc faculties are working in the department.

VISION AND MISSION

The Department of Microbiology was started in the academic year 1984. The department runs UG Programme. Department has well equipped and highly sophisticated laboratories with instruments. The department has highly qualified faculty. One faculty is a recognized research guide of Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The department has two completed research projects. It has published many research papers in national and international research journals. The department has published 01 book by International publisher, and 01 boo chapter is published in reputed book. The department has produced good civilians and is proud of its alumni which hold good positions in industries, academia and research institutes at national and international levels. The department has collaborations to solve the environmental and industrial problems
