DST-FIST
Introduction
DST-FIST stands for “Department of Science and Technology – Fund for Improvement of Science and Technology Infrastructure.” It is an initiative by the Government of India under the Department of Science and Technology (DST). DST-FIST aims to enhance and strengthen the infrastructure for science and technology research and development in various academic institutions and universities across India.
The primary objective of DST-FIST is to provide financial support to institutions to acquire modern research equipment, upgrade laboratories, and establish new facilities necessary for cutting-edge research in various scientific disciplines. By improving infrastructure and research facilities, DST-FIST aims to foster innovation, promote interdisciplinary research, and enhance the quality of scientific output in the country.
